Hollins & Rea

Bookkeepers to charities and small theatres

About the practice

Margaret Hollins and Daniel Rea set up the practice in 2011, after a decade each in the finance teams of touring theatre companies. Both had spent too many evenings reconciling box office systems that were never designed to talk to a ledger.

There are now five of us. Each client has one named bookkeeper who knows the organisation, and a second who can pick up the work when the first is on leave.

Who we work with

Registered charities, community interest companies and a handful of small production companies. We do not take on clients with income above about £3 million; at that size you need an in-house finance team, and we will tell you so.
